Service technician: If you are good with working with your hands, even if it's just in a hobby like wood-working or sewing, we can train you for this job. You will be repairing damages to hard surfaces (tubs, countertops, vinyl floors, hardwood floors, tiles, etc.) mostly in apartment units, but also for moving companies and warranty work for new tubs that are damaged either in shipping or in installation. You provide a hardworking, reliable, honest employee and we'll provide all the rest!

At Surface Experts, we are looking for a HONEST, CURIOUS, HUMBLE, and RELIABLE man or woman to learn a new career. Must be good at working with your hands! Any maintenance type of experience is a plus! However, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
High school or College degree not required.
If you like working with your hands, we'll provide paid, skilled training, a vehicle, and gas card. You provide honesty and willingness to learn and work. We are a small company that is growing very fast, and we work in Mobile & Baldwin Counties and need additional Service Technicians. We specialize in small repairs to hard surfaces.

Requirements:

Must use critical thinking and have great problem-solving skills.
Must practice active listening.
Must be able to follow exact directions. We have a proven process that insures excellent results, so our process must be followed exactly as you will be taught.
Time management skills. You will have a daily schedule, but you will be responsible for communicating to us if you need more time. We will always work with you, but we will not micro-manage you.
Attention to detail
Good at working with your hands, whether that is in construction, manufacturing, cosmetology, or even a hobby
Having experience working in facilities maintenance can be very helpful
It is helpful, but not necessary to have an art background. Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do. If you are color blind, then this is not the job for you.
Interested in growing with a new business with the possibility of advancing into a leadership role
The training process is extensive so we are only interested in hiring someone who can make at least a 2-year commitment.
Trust-worthy, reliable, with an excellent work ethic
Commitment to meet project timelines
Customer service experience helpful, but not required
Clean driving record for past three years

We repair small damage to surfaces like Floors, Countertops, Bathtubs, Cabinets, Appliances, Furniture, Elevator Panels … Almost Everything!. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide incredibly fast service, while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere in our support center and on jobsites. We combine old school skill sets with new technology and products, resulting in a durable and appealing repair all provided with a smile.

Most repairs are simple and smaller than a dinner plate, yet our competition focuses on complete resurfacing. Our objective is a happy customer and a long-term relationship. We focus on saving our customers time & money while providing them with a long-term solution to their damaged surfaces.
Our typical repair is completed in about an hour, so we can work in occupied apartment units as easily as those that are vacant.
As a technician, we will completely train you, provide you with all the tools and materials you will need, as well as a company car and gas card, have you shadow another tech to watch and learn for a while, and will always be available to help if you need it.
We work Monday - Friday, around 8-5, leaving your weekends free.

Our workload is exceeding our number of techs available, so we need a reliable, honest tech right away who is good with working with their hands - we'll teach you the rest!
